I have just read about you in the latest orgain mag. Lots of insiring articles in this one and all doing wonderful stuff to grow nutruitional food which ofcourse the supermarkets do not like.( Food bill) If there are any members who might be interested in my website I would love to have them sign the petition asfter reading some of the horror stories in the Information section. I am a Naturopath in Taumarunui but my past entails various bio-dynamic and orgaic horticulture. I got so sick of what is going on in the world and will come here too if we do not put the pressure on the Government. I spend quite a bit of time writing to Ministers and enclosing material which they may or may not read to prick trheir copnscience but we need the Government to bring back the morotorium at least to ban GE of any sort. As you may know the suypermarket shelves have plenty of it in the food lines. Certainly not as bad as the USA but every line of corn, soy, canola that Monsanto has let in was passed by the food authority whose job should be looking after us, not multi national corporations. The world now is the majority against the minority and things are happening but we can not bury our heads in the sand. I have great sympathy of what you all have gobe through and aplaud the council banning fracking in your area.

Hello Anna,
Thanks for the message. Our working bees at Mt Victoria are normally on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 1pm to 4pm. The next working bee will be on Sunday the 17th of April. We have made great progress over the last 6 months and had a very good harvest at our last working bee. lots of yummy potatoes and Kamo kamo.
Lots of great locals working on the site and who have been watering it for us over summer.
If you would like some more details please send us an email.
Thanks

thanks for the message. Yes we are still looking for compost. There is a black rubbish bin at our Newtown site where you can add you veggie scraps for composting.

Hi There
I have just found a flyer from you that must be about a year old. It said that you were looking for compost, I just live on Hall St and would be happy to contribute, if you still need it?

Hi there,
I registered and paid to join Innermost Gardens on 10.10.10
I couldn’t attend the work bee on Sunday, but was wondering if anyone was going to be in touch with me about my joining the group.
Though I no longer live in Mt Vic, I feel a real connection with the place and look forward to contributing and learning from the experience. I currently live in an apartment and wonder if I could collect and bring along my food scraps.
I look forward to hearing from you soon
Miriam

Hi Carol,
Thanks for your interest! It’s too bad you can’t make the working bee on Saturday, but shall I add you to our mailing list so you can know about future events? We’re keen to get the garden established, so the more the merrier!
Best wishes,
Grace (secretary)

Hi,
I am living in Mount Victoria and would love to get involved with your community garden. I am from Ireland and as I have moved into an apartment here I miss having the space to grow a few veg. Please let me know if I can help in any way.
I saw that you have a open day on Saturday but as I work weekends I wont be able to make it.
Regards,
Carol
